Hi im primarily DPS. But I want to help ppl in my FC by be more diverse in what I can play. I am looking for a healer class a simple one. Like sorry for using the terms but WoW Holy Priest. If there is such thing in FFXIV?
Atm. I main Lancer/Dragoon. Side role would be Archer/Bard. And then I have a pala if they need a tank and the last spec should be a healer.
I got my answer for a friend of mine. He told me the closed FFXIV have to a Holy priest should be a White Mage
Since you can level as many classes as you like, why not give all three a try? See which one feels best to you. I rather enjoy scholar, personally.
All three of the healers at the present are fairly simple and easy to play. It really depends on what sort of thing you're looking for...
If you're looking for a Pure Healer, then White Mage is probably your best bet. They rely on regeneration heals and more straight healing spells rather than shields and the like. They also have some nature flavor for a while, and are available at level 1.
If you want more of a Buffing/Support Healer, then Astrologian is there for you. They have a few more support abilities such as cards to assist their allies in combat, but maintain a more reactive role compared to Scholar.
If you want more of a Tactical/Preparation Healer, Scholar is waiting right there in the back! Healing as a Scholar is less about directly reacting to things, and more about preparing in advance with shields, automatic healing, and other techniques. You also get a free, fully leveled DPS (Summoner) as a bonus!
Play whichever sounds fun to you!
