Beloved of the Builder
I spend all my time crafting and am enjoying it. I have all crafts and all but three or four of them are now maxxed at level 80.
While working on another quest, I went to Mor'dhana and found the "Beloved of the Builder" quest available. Upon googling it I discovered that it awards "Careful Observation (Specialist)".
I then tried googling what this skill does but was unable to find anything reliable about it.
Are any of you crafters familiar with this skill? What exactly does it do? How does "doing nothing" for one step provide any benefit?
And do you think the skill is worth obtaining?
Thank you for your help.

It's used to dig for crafting Conditions such as Good. It can be useful in Expert Crafts, but otherwise is almost never needed.

It’s an action that can only be used if you’re a specialist. It costs 0 CP but requires mat purchased with scrips.
The quest is a simple delivery that you can do at your ease whenever you go to Ishgard. No harm in getting it.
Basically the action allows you to skip up to 3 states. It can be useful when tackling difficult recipes (expert recipes, high star numbers, or simply higher level). I’ve used it in hopes of getting Good state to recover CP/increase quality/etc. If you get lucky and get a state you need, it could save a otherwise failed synthesis.
