Abusive Mentors.

So since I started playing there have been a pair of abusive/toxic mentors in the Novice Network. They cover their transgressions by kicking anybody out that stands up to them. I've also noticed that they've started saying less and flagrantly abusing the kick function. I assume this is because it's harder to detect when a gm investigates. This is not hyperbole in the slightest. They are doing the same thing every day and I report them Every. Single. Day. It is enough that seeing this behavior go unpunished time and again that I am inclined to cancel my sub and not bother if this sort of thing is acceptable behavior in FF14. You would think they'd deal with people abusing the chat designed for NEW PLAYERS swiftly so as not to create such horrid first impressions. Yet here we are with these two toxic and abusive mentors still in the network. They are so well known that you don't even need to say their names. Also, you can't, because they'll kick you.

I second this comment, been kicked around 10 times by these 2 mentors several times over the course of a month, reported every single time and nothing has happened to them.

The worst of all is that they are kicking sprouts for simply talking about it, it got to the point where even mentioning those mentors gets you a kick inmediately, threatening, using their powers as moderators in a place where is not needed.

I want to know, how far must this goes on before the GMs decide to do something about it, because this is abusive and disrupts the game play of players more than any kind of conversation going on in the novice network yet nothing happens.

I’d also recommend staying out of the novice network and finding a helpful FC to ask questions to. Novice network is infamous for being toxic.

Yes, I got kicked by one of those mentors by just saying their name. THEIR NAME.

The problem is Ftail they've been kicking mentors too, in the middle of helping sprouts as well, just for naming them, or telling the sprouts how to block them, thigs are pretty bad.

The worst of all is the "copy paste" reply all GMs give you, i thought this game promoted good behavior

I have literally no idea which part you decided is inappropriate. Also, no. I don't know you guys think the Novice Network should just be toxic instead of actually dealing with it. They get to leave or better yet be banned. Indefinitely.

Have you tried reporting them as a player rather than a mentor? "Such and such said this and I was deeply offended."

Doesn't have to be a NN report to get them in trouble for their crimes.

Yeah both ways, several times too, yet GMs continue to promote that behavior by doing nothing, 90% of the time the GMs response is the generic one, and things arent like "i got offended" either, this is really disruptive to the players banned, especially the sprouts since they usually ask questions on the novice network when the abusive mentors arent online, and one of the mentors in particular never even helps, just ban players from the channel for mentioning the other one, just mentioning the mentor will land you a kick from it.

If they are sayin anything offensive, screenshot the log and quote it verbatim, including the date stamp. That will help the GM track in down in the logs. As others have mentioned report it as offensive or if it goes that far and can be proven, abuse.

Can't mentors kick other mentors?
