fishes desynth change idea
As with a fair bit of fishing related things ; their desynthesis is mostly useless.
With some rare exceptions ; you'll mostly get sand from it (look at this 480+ desynth skill for some HQ sands : wonderfull).
You can get some crystals from them, but the problème is the scaling ; and that's the main point I'd like to adress here.
So I did some tests : what you get right now is based on fish level.
-1 -> 20 : nothing
-20 -> 45 : shards
-45 -> 150 : crystals
-150 -> 500+ : clusters
//edit : i guess "xp" fishes (51-59 ; 61-69 ; 71-79) gives crystals as well but iLv. wis, it's a mess
Of course, crafters mostly use shards(50-) and crystals (everything else beside expert recipes)
Change ?
Since the concept of fish size is now explicit on the fishes ; why not use that instead ?
-small -> shard
-medium/big -> crystal
-huge -> cluster
That may drive le price of water crystals down, but whatever ; earth crysals are dirt cheap and that hasn't broken the game ; and it's not like you can send your useless fisher retainers for 100 every 40mn either (retainers are a whole problem themselves).
I don't think that would require a lot of dev time either ; as they changed the desynth pools for ex items with 5.55
