I think if the new game+ main scenario (at least) quests gave some experience points it will be more played.
Of course if it give too much then people will only do that, but if you limit to experience points once per major patch, it will mean it will reset 6 times per expansion and soon with 6.0 we will have 18 class to level up. (BLU does not get exp)
It does nt need to be alot just a little, because the 50/60/70 quests will also have a little and people will do the dungeons / fates / roulettes .... so just a little and maybe only up to level 70 (last before expansion cap) if you re afraid for the last expansion.
A little push but not too push that will make people take time doing new game+ i think and it could be great.
Suggestion: Give a little Experience points in New game+ MSQ, but only once per patch

There's no real point to incentivising NG+. If people want to play it, they'll play it for the sake of the story.
Put EXP on it and you'll have bots running the easiest section repeatedly - or worse, live players who complain bitterly about how dull it is but it's worthwhile EXP so they have to run it. -

It would be cool though if you could take a job from 1-cap using NG+.
It wouldn't be fast, or efficient, but it would really make it feel like you're replaying the game all over again.

You can do the same in FFXIV. Create a Bard the first run through, then, on an alt character, run through as a Dragoon, then, on another alt character, run through as a Summoner. Rinse. Repeat. You could do that without NG+, and got quest rewards (gear, emotes, the works) every single time.
Do I recommend that? Nope. NG+ wasn't designed for that (no quest rewards, no XP), but running alts has always been part of the game.
Not many people take advantage of alts in that way, preferring to run through instances, FATEs, Battle Leves, Hunts and the Ever Popular Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High in order to garner XP for their other jobs without having to run through the MSQ once again. -

Yes, levelling wasn't the intention of NG+, but that's not to say their intentions are perfect and we can't request what we consider a benign QoL: have NG+ give just enough exp to go from 1-cap for the fun of it.Quote:
