Friend unable to log in. Log-in requires a one-time-password that was never sent.

I've a friend attempting to play XIV for the first time, via a Trial Account. She's made the account successfully, but when attempting to log in on the launcher, it demands a one-time password, despite her having received no OTP via email nor having registered an authenticator or Security Token or the like.

Leaving the line asking for the OTP blank, as suggested here does not work.

Any idea what she can do to actually log in, since it'll accept neither her chosen password nor the suggested blank input and no OTP has actually been sent?

Make another trial account? Since it’s a trial she hasnt paid for anything, meaning nothing is lost.

What’s the error core she’s being given? can you send a screenshot?

This has occurred for each of three trial accounts created so far.

Currently seeing if she can pass along a screenshot.
