Would you want Ran'jit's Martial Arts style as a...

...Tank job class in the future?

Just a random thought I'd ask since his ability to adapt and skillful redirect, block and outright cancel out his opponent's attacks and counter with a powerful comeback of his own due to his ability to adapt was always fun to watch. But what if that was made into a job class; specially a Tank? It's style is different enough from Monk's and even without Ran'jit's Gukumatz it'd be a pretty powerful and fun type of Tank.

It could be fun, for sure, but I'm not sure I see how something like this would get codified for player use.
Their defensive cooldowns buff their party chance and they also get a shelltron for that block rate? Or are we thinking more of a stance based tank?

ranj'it kinda seemed like a prototype reaper. he used his dragon as a scythe, right?

I honestly didn't think very far on it. xD
Though maybe a rotation stance like Monk's but utilized for different situations. One for All out Defense, one for All out Attack and the last for All out Assist(?). I like th Shelltron idea; would feel very Ran'jit like to have an ability like that! x3

That was Ran'jit's final form. I'm talking about all the times he didn't use Gukumatz and his scythe transformation and focused completely on utilizing his unique martial arts style to damn near obliterate anybody that so much as tried touching him. xD

There are a lot of paralells between Ran'jit and Reaper.

What you described would probably be best done with a Monk, because they can stun enemies and stop them from moving.

Anything better than what Monk is would probably be too powerful in this game. It's not built to block attacks in a cinematic way. Our way of blocking is a sheltron animation or a barrier appearing over us for a moment when we apply mitigation.

What rotation stance? FoW and FoE are useless. I want them to fix monk first before they dare to implement a job that uses martial arts again, if they can't even get that job right then don't even attempt something that seems more ambitious

Opo po, Raptor and Courel stances, I meant. Though not exactly like Monk's, but more like how Paladin used to have with Sword and Shield Oath, but more situational?I don't know. xD
