I get that it is suppose to be poetic and all, but damn that felt like a let down to a controversial cross over raid that not a lot of players were for. I was expecting something more idk, grand? And what is with that reward? A instrumental music scroll? Idk guys I like the raids and the concept, but really felt like the ending quest series made it go out with out with a Whimper when it needed a bang.

I was disappointed with the raid series overall, but my expectations were low to begin with as I was only expecting shallow fanservice. It really had no right to be occupying a spot of such significance in a content cycle when we could've gotten another raid that actually built on established XIV lore somehow.
It's mostly fine from a gameplay standpoint, though the last raid's mechanics felt a bit lazy with every boss except the third using left/right/center cleaves as part of their mechanics.
Yes, there are millions of FFXIV players, yes you are absolutely the ONLY one disappointed with how the Nier storyline ends.

I'm surprised that such an ending was even approved, honestly. In a game that is generally decent at wrapping up loose plot threads and coming up with explanations for why things are the way they are it's troubling to me that much of the raid's story was left unexplained and unacknowledged.
I liked some of the boss fights and the music was cool but outside of that...I was left wanting.
So it's implied Konogg dies of grief and Anogg "returning" was her coming back and leading him to the afterlife, and the moral of the story is just "sometimes we were wrong, sometimes we are still wrong, and we just have to live with it."
For all the complicated threads and loosely held storylines, that is almost a slap in the face to players who were expecting something...idk more? It just felt lazy to me. Nothing really got resolved. It was just left hanging and we're literally told by the Chief "well just gonna have to learn to deal with it." I was so sure I would like this story at least better than the Ivalice raids conclusion, which I really Did Not Like, but this Not ItTM.
Hopefully Myths of the Realm will be better.

All the raid chain was pure disappointment storywise.
The raid fights are pretty cool but the story (if you want to call it that) is pretty meh ....
I'm not disappointed, but I also don't know how to react to the ending other than feeling relieved that I may not have a reason to unlock the content with my new main character. I don't regret completing it on this character, though.
I read some speculation regarding NG+, but I don't think there is new story there, but I may keep this character a little longer just in case.
Regarding the choice between the twins, I guess I'm in the minority, but that's ok. I'm more surprised that the distribution is similar across all the worlds.
Not all all. I can't believe they made us do 6 weeks of nothing quests for such a nothing ending.
