Revamp Hunting Log

It seems strange how outdated the hunting log is. Only available for ARR classes, and has no further use beyond that whatsoever. Despite how hunting mobs for exp is still a recurring mechanic with the daily/weekly clan hunt system in the expansions.

Rather than having to go to your key items section of your inventory to check each individual rank 1/2/3 hunt marks of the day for each expansion's regions, why not just move these to the hunting log instead? It would have actual use past its very limited scope and reduce the tediousness of recalculating your daily marks.

Moving on to the wishful thinking category, if moved to this section these marks should be able to update daily through the log, instead of always having to remember to update them each time at their city-state boards. Even if this aspect can't be implemented, simply having a central location to view all hunt marks at once, rather than clicking through 9 items would be greatly appreciated.

Now that you mention it, moving daily and weekly hunt marks into the log would be far better than having to collect bills from your starting city and ishgard and kugane and crystarium each day.

I just put the bills on a hotbar for quick checking.

It sounds nice, but also sounds like a considerable redesign to make something like that work. The log as-is certainly can't handle the hunt system as-is. And I can't really imagine how to make one retroactively fit the other.

I think putting the bills on a menu like Timers might remove some of the functionality that we currently have with them, like saving them to do the next day in addition to that day's bills plus the map locator.

I also don't think adding them to a menu working any better than viewing them out of key items based on how Custom Deliveries are viewed, which would be somewhat similar in nature. Using hotbars as Hasrat said (I already do this as well) is the better option in my opinion, though I know space is more limited for those using a controller set up.

My vote would be for putting the effort in. This game could do better at daily and weekly objectives outside of tomestone/roulette. I would like a new user interface for hunts. While I'm on that train of thought, the rewards for challenge log could be improved too so that more people want to clear those each week (even if you are at endgame).

One objection to this idea - which I do like by the way - is that the way hunt bills are now, say I grab the bills for today, and for the weekly ones - but decide not to do them tonight. Tomorrow I have more time, so I do the bills I have, then go grab the ones for that day. Weekly, well I didn't have time/didn't find it or whathave you, but next week after reset, I find it, kill it and can grab the new weekly.

In that way, the hunt bills as they are are good, but on the other hand, it would be nice to be able to pull up a menu like hunt log and see what they are from there, without having to go grab the bills at various different places.
