Companion (Chocobo) timer reset?

Did not know the best place to ask this as there is no companion or chocobo board.


Why does the timer on my summoned chocobo sometimes reset back to 30 minutes after the timer hits 0?

It does this on multiple characters, not not every time I summon it.

I do not use two Gysahl Greens when I summon it, but on seemingly random occasions, when the timer runs out, it starts over. It usually only does this once if it does it at all. After the second 30 minutes, the chocobo then withdraws.

This can be either good or bad depending on the situation. If I want to spend time leveling my chocobo, the extra 30 minutes is welcomed—especially when facing long queue times. However, if I was only planning to spend 30 minutes with my chocobo before stabling it, it can be a burden to have to take an hour instead of 30 minutes—especially if the only reason why I summoned my chocobo was because it got capped from Krakka Roots being stabled at the FC house.

Why does the chocobo summon timer sometimes reset on its own after 30 minutes? Why doesn't it always do this or never do this?
