Racial Gear

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but one thing that's always sorta boggled my mind is not being able to wear other starting gear. They sell it right from the get go in the main cities and while I know it's there for people who sold/tossed theirs, I adore the Miqo'te gear and want it for all my WoLs.

Maybe as a halloween dress up deal or event where you can obtain versions for your race? Those who already have the originals could get dyable versions maybe too?

I doubt it'll happen. I wouldn't mind if it did, but the starting ear and the hempen sets adding a bit of flavor for the races is fine. I wouldn't want them to start adding MORE racial gear but these two sets don't bother me.

I doubt it'll ever get added simply because the time they'd spend fitting these armor models onto the other player models could be better spent on near gear sets. It's not as simply as just removing the 'hyur only' flag and then letting people put it on.

Only if they add new racial gear that is race locked.

Having flavor for the races is a nice thing.

The message of people wanting the hempen sets unlocked was supposedly sent to the dev team in a previous popular thread, and we've seen NPC's wearing other races hempen sets iirc, so maybe it's still a possibility.

I would hope for a starter gear unlock too but I'm not holding my breath, as the only real good reason not to unlock them is the dev time required, which is why nothing has been seen nor said about the hempen stuff most likely.

I'm on the fence with this. I think it would be cool for them to do, but I really don't want to see even more people walking around in the Bunny starter gear
