Regarding exteriors and upgraded relocation size

Hi,
I tried to find information on this prior to posting, so I hope someone here can help.

I bought the half-timbered cottage exterior for my small home originally and relocated recently to a medium size House.
If I change the exterior now to something different, will the half timbered stay a medium House size to be used again or go back to small cottage in my inventory?

I don't want to make a costly mistake! Thank you in advance!

It will remain a medium. The sized exterior fixtures automatically are changed to the new size when you relocate since the game won't allow you to use a small skin on a medium house (or vice versa).

I always advise friends preparing to upgrade from a small to a medium or large to put a more expensive skin they like to use (or would like to use after relocation) on their small before they relocate so they don't have to pay more for the bigger version later.
