Coming back to game from 5.3 any point in updating i490 hq melded?

Outside of saving myself a few moments on making macros and a few extra chances, any point I should be updating from the 490 HQ the crafting gear set full melded right away? With my old food/syrup I have I seem to have 0 issues with hq'ing the ilvl 510 gears @ 2715/2943/626. and although they are not top notch, they'll do in a pinch/starter set. Just trying to progress story to current and be ready for the interim and 6.0. I'd rather not spend the little bit of time I have upping that at this point if it won't be worth it.

If those stats are what you'd consider "not top notch" or something that'll "do in a pinch/starter set", then I'd be curious to see what you'd consider to be "top notch".

But to answer your question: No, it's probably not worth updating when you're already close to the highest stats.

There was nothing humble about the bragging in that post.

If you already have a penta-melded aesthete set then no there is no reason to upgrade. If you can make the 510 battle gear there’s nothing else you need more stats for. That being said even fully penta-melded still needs some HQ base mats to hit 100% for this tier of crafted stuff so getting the white scrip or relic/resplendent tools will not help with that

Craft the 510 HQ gear, it's enough for the story and the dungeons. After you get some tomes you can trade it in piece by piece for 520 gear in Eulmore.
