Very on theme.
I love it.

This is a great idea. It really emphasizes that the purpose of the mentor system is to help sprouts grow.

Someone at the SE Office just jumped out of their chair and went: "Hire that person!"

I'm not sure why it isn't a watering can instead of a .....crown? with a sword or a hammer attached to said crown?

I love the idea! It fits with the sprout icon. Pls make it happen SE!

This type of thread comes up every once and a while, the mentor program is a bad joke atm so I hope SE will notice one of these threads one day.

And I too once thought of a full grown tree once, but I can see the appeal of a watering can.

But think about the people who play this game, think about mentors, they're the kind of people who'll just want a pretty stylised icon next to their name, as long as its cute, pretty, or shows off "status" like the crown does now, things will never change.

Wanna know what I think? I think it should just be made just as ugly as possible, not so ugly as to make it NSFW, but ugly to deter people who don't care. FF11 had a big ugly blue M for its mentor icon, I think that'd be great in 14. But why ugly? Cause it's not about wanting a icon to be pretty or stylised, mentors should want to be mentors to help, not gloat, or look good in front of others with a silly icon, it should still be recognizable though,like a big fat blue M.
