DX9 version still have option to turn on/off HDR on will, while DX11 have HDR ALWAYS ON!
It eats FPS like a beast and (In my opinion) looks worse than DX9 HDR-off version for me.
WHY DX11 version can't have an option to turn HDR off to improve performance?
I may be remembering this wrong but if I recall the HDR setting in the DX9 client is a lighting setting, not a colour space. The equivalent setting is HBAO I think. I turn that down to "Strong" as I do not like the HBAO effect in XIV, it adds nearly nothing for visuals and is a performance hog.
I don't think it's a real HDR cause neither my HDR gaming monitor or when I play on my 4K tv it get HDR enabled.
