idea for another "maiming" class dps job

ok so i just thought of a fun idea,
so you know how ARC can turn into SCH or SUM right?
take LANCER, and have it transform into a NEW class, idk lets call it "Janissary", and give it a Persian theme like persian immortal armor to fit the thanivarian areas, and instead of jumps and dragon stabby pokeys
you get glaives. no not the throwing kind like a dancer would get
long boi slashy sticks
and it would animate like a whirlwind of death and human scale acrobatics, instead of jumping to the moon in animation locks (or dps'ing the floor back flipping out the right LOL DRG) you count flip over the boss as and light damage evasive attack buy pole vaulting
or swing in an aoe "whirlwind vortex"

but im 99% sure someone somewhere already had a similar idea

SE has said they hate the whole subclass system for ARC/SCH/SMN, they'd probably never do something like this. It's interesting as an idea though.

you could always make it its own class then

They even mentionned that they wanted to merge job and class, but due to ARC/SCH/SMN, it would take some extra work.
I think it was an interview during SB, that they wanted to do this for 6.0/7.0?

There has been so many interviews, I wouldn't call my source safe.

It would probably have to be.
Since 3.0 all new classes have lacked that initial soulstone-less version of a job.

Just for the sake of clarity, ARC is Archer while ACN is Arcanist (and Summoner is SMN).

As others have said, SE already acknowledged that they won't be continuing the split job paths for classes. They've basically already thrown classes in the trash and new jobs have no base class at all. The classes we have now are just relics from an old system, and I wouldn't expect that they'll make any direct use of them in the future.

so basically monks from diablo 3 or Sun Wukong. I always did want a staff wielding job but people would say its too similar to dragoons.
