ranger job

first i believe the next jobs should ranger through some said it reaper. though i am hope for limit beast master

as for ranger here are my suggest.
ranger weapon: crossbows bleed effect and traps and hawk pet.
first ranger Urha Lihzeh she younger Miq'eta who want save her sister for a male miq'eta

the quest for ranger you help her save her sister while train as ranger. after you get done help Urha Lihzeh you help Mauh Lihzeh become a ranger and help her gain further redemption and protect the woods

Sadly I think a crossbow Job is unlikely as what really would set it aside from ARC/BRD (which, lets face it, the ARC side of it at least, is RNG by another name - hell, in 1.0 ARC NPCs were specifically stated by dialogue as going on 'rangings'), and MCH, all ranged classes?

MCH is already a melee ranged Job with a pet, so your idea alas doesn't really give anything new other than it's appearence I'm sorry to say. And even then, a new pet Job in itself is even more unlikely now given Yoshi's stated dislike for them and how difficult it is to balance them. And to say nothing of Edgar's infamous 'Autocrossbow' Tool from FFVI now appearing as a MCH ability as well!

Really, although I too would like to see a crossbow-using class, I think sadly that airship has now long sailed.

Well, Bard is Bard, Machinist is Acrobat-Technomancer. Less fancy Ranger with crossbow would be neat middle ground between two fancy jobs.

This wouldn't happen until the expansion after Endwalker the other job has already been confirmed to be a melee dps.

The Next new job is already mentioned and confirmed to be a Melee DPS job.
So unless Crossbows are gonna suddenly be Melee weapons somehow, Ranger isnt happening in Endwalker.
It would possibly happen in 7.0 the next expansion after Endwalker though

I would love to have a crossbow wielding job class, whether it be Ranger or something else!

Maybe the job quests could take place in the Fringes at the edge of the Twelveswood Forest and or at the Azim Steppe.

I can definitely see a Miqo'te being our teacher, but I think an Elezen or Au Ra could work, too!

I really like the damage overtime concept for the Ranger's fighting style. That could definitely work if done differently than Bard's. The Bleed Effect doubling Ranger's other attacks and possibly doing the same for other players when playing alongside a Ranger, perhaps?

And the Hawk buddy, I WANT THIS!!!! Lol, I could see our hawk companion pick up an enemy and holding in the air so it can't attack or get close to us, as we keep repeatedly shooting it with our crossbow bolts, weakening it before its released on the ground and either dies from damage over time injuries due to the Bleed Effect (Maybe having a Bleed stack effect on top of the ability?) or we knock it out with a cool and powerful finishing move or just keep shooting it till it dies.

I can see the Hawk having any uses, holding the enemy in the air and stopping its movement, flapping its wings and sending powerful gusts of wind to keep one or groups of enemies at bay while we pick them off and adding it's own damage over time effects to an enemy or group via its beaks claws or a shrapnel-like gust of wind. Oh! And also being our mount in addition to being able to hang with us at any time like the Egi, Carbuncle and Fae already do.

I imagine the Hawk being around half the size of the Eagle porter mounts scattered around Othard and when used as a mount, the Hawk carries us via its talons hooking into the back of our shirts. Much like the Magitek Hand mount that carries us around like a dirty tissue or a misbehaving cat. xD

OOOH!!! And also, why not have it not just be a Hawk as our frequent pet, but also other bird-like creatures we encounter through each expansion with them all having various different skills and abilities and uses!?

Hawks: Default Pet

(Heavenward=Ishgard and Stormblood=Ala Mhigo) Tiny Griffin: Dive Bomber, slow but deals heavy damage to only a single enemy. After unlocking both the Snow Griffin from Heavenward and War Griffin from Stormblood you can use them both at the same time and pummel enemies with double the damage!

(Stormblood) Tiny Yol: Sharpnel Air Specialist, Blasts multiple enemies with shrapnel air damage that stacks over time.

(Shadowbringers) Tiny Amaro: Status Effect Spealist...? Uses various effects that hinder and enemies movements, frequency of attack, etc. Uuhhh, lol I haven't really seen what these guys can actually do in combat besides fly with two sets of wings so I'm lost with this one. xD

Next job won't be a ranger. I joked that the next job would be Luchador...but with the "Lucha" t-shirt at the last live letter, wouldn't it be funny if I was right...

But what we know:

- It's a melee job
- It's going to use maiming gear
- It's a new job, not one that exists in the FF universe

I feel this rules out both ranger and beastmaster.

Beastmaster I think has potential in future to be a Limited Job, but I think they'll probably finishing ironing out the concept with BLU before they add more, but it's one I'd like to see...if they give Limited Job content more longevity.

The hints heavily relate to scythes. Most of the hints have featured the Grim Reaper. Yoshi P's t-shirt at the last live letter looked to be some kind of angel holding a scythe. So Death, Angel of Death, Grim Reaper all seem to be around the hint, but it's the scythe that's the through point. These could also be story related hints. Emet-Selch was Hades, Shadowbringers and by extension Endwalker seem to borrow from the Book of Revelations and the book of revelations introduces Death accompanied by Hades:

A scythe wielder I think would satisfy those who wanted an FFXI style DRK, which seemed to combine traditional FF Dark Knight principles and mixed them with one that would befit a Reaper job with many of its scythe weaponskills referencing reaping and death. And with it DRK came with drains to make it stronger (by draining enemy stats, HP, MP and TP). And because a reaper job doesn't exist but only in part it still fulfills the criteria of being 'new' just as AST took Time Mage and Geomancy cues it was still a new thing or GNB took FF8 cues, it's still a new thing.

You sound like you want to take Guild Wars 2's Ranger class and pluck it down into FFXIV. Because what you describe is almost to a tee the Ranger class in GW2.

Bard is basically a ranger and barely a bard at all anymore.

IMO the three songs it cycles between that each give different buffs and mechanics makes it feel pretty bard like.
