Changing drivers seat in multi-seat mounts

I would like to switch seats in my Chocobo carriage so I'm not the one driving, unfortunately, after buying such an expensive mount I find out that there's nothing I can do but chauffeur other people around.
I don't want to give other people the ability to drive your mount, just like they appear so.

To be honest, my intentions are purely RP, I would like to sit in my own carriage while flying it just feels safer that way. this game is great I hope they can change this somehow??
