Where do i find fish that have ilevel greater than 490, at least 510? The fish introduced in the last update, 5.4, are only 490.
I am trying to spiritbond my Skybuilders' Fishing Rod Support says to do that i have to catch fish at least equal to my 510 rod. So where do I find fish that are 510?
There are none yet. The highest ilvl fish are the Oddly Specific fish (ilvl 500) needed for the last step of upgrading the relic. I suppose it's possible a couple of big game fish that ilvl might be added in 5.5 for those who go after the big game fish but I wouldn't count on it. Most likely we won't see any until the next expansion.
I wouldn't worry about getting spiritbond on the rod. It doesn't improve the rod in any way and gathering materia VII/VIII is dirt cheap on most worlds in the data center right now. You can make a lot more gil doing other things in the amount of it time it would take fully spiritbond a piece of gear than the materia is selling for.
