Adventurer squadrons - arcanist is great!

I know all the talk is "get two archers" but seriously don't overlook this job in your command missions.

He's great at clearing trash as almost everything he does is AoE. Even if raw damage is not as high as archer's or thaumaturge's, the consistency of frequent area spells does it's job. This is awesome for big, fat pulls, where others will struggle since they weave in so many single target spells/attacks into their rotations.

Additionally he has physick spell and makes use of it. When hp is low expect the arcanist to save you before conjurer kindly considers doing is main job!

In short - yeah, a very fine class to take into the dungeon :)

When I realized the arcanist will heal if needed she became one of my favorites.

It's also the 'old school' (pre ShB) Physick which wasn't hamstrung by MND potency, and is by default rather potent. ACN (and other classes) Squad members also use other no-longer available abilities and spells like Shadow Flare, so it makes them even more viable. I usually have one in my party along with a CNJ as it's saved my butt more than a few times. :)
