add more Tonberry content

can we please get more tonberry related items/dungeons in the game? give them a dope story? i love tonberry and want more!

Do the Scholar quests, you will get story. Though they need to continue it, it is pretty decent as is.

^This. Also, due to the events of said SCH quests it means new tonberry content is now very unlikely,

given the SCH quests involve the source of the tonberry plague and are resolved by the player ultimately destroying said source forever - hint: it's a Voidsent demon contained in a jug

The Wanderer's Palace dungeon (both original and Hard Mode) involve the tonberry story too, so I think that is going to be as much as you'll get about it I'm afraid.

Scholar has an ongoing story involving them that gets added to each expansion.

Tonberry are my favourite FF legacy enemy/creature of all time so, yeah, I'd always go for more tonberry.

Yeah if you don’t play SCH you don’t get the lore.

Do think they could add more tonberries in next expansion though, they seem to keep using cactuar family for mobs and hunts but tonberry hasn’t been used in a while.

Tonberry are cute and their 14 lore is compelling.
I also wish to see more of them.

Though... on a somewhat unrelated note, I wish my servers namesake (Sargatanas) would get nicely represented in game too. Or any representation...

I'm not certain but I think Namazu actually use the tonberry model with a different skin over it.

Spoilers for level 80 Scholar quest:

The final Scholar quest basically wraps up the entire Scholar questline with the curing of the tonberry plague and all the nymians being turned back into their lalafel selves, so there isn't much more to do there with the whole tonberries/nymians storyline.

That being said, tonberries are woefully under represented in FFXIV due to their SCH lore connections. But since the Nymian tonberries were just mutations based on the actual voidsent tonberries, there is always the possibility of seeing "true" tonberries as voidsent. They may not look like the cutesy traditional-looking Nymian ones, and perhaps will look more like the monstrous FFXI ones instead. Either way more tonberries please!
