Just a random thought I have had after not winning the jumbo cactpot for IDK how many, it's been a lot. lol. Hypothetically speaking if everyone enters the same 3 4-digit numbers. Then would everyone on the server that bought a ticket win the jackpot? This is hypothetical ofc cause I know one person, probably a lot more would just have to be different, but was just a random thought. I know more than 1 person can win each week, but IDK if there is a cap or not. Has anyone tried to organize this before?

It doesn't draw from the numbers people have chosen, it's a true RNG.
So everyone could play 1111, and it would draw... 9367.
Best thing you can do is play three tickets, each with a different first digit.
That way you at least have 3/10 chance at getting the next prize up.
As it's true RNG, any number sequence you play has the same exact chances as any other, so it really doesn't matter what numbers you play. -

As Seraphor said, it works just like a real lottery.
It doesn't matter what numbers people have gotten, the winning number can be anything.
There is a (rather large) chance when the cactpot is drawn that no one is the jumbo winner : ( -

ahh okay, I miss understood the system. I have never seen anyone not win so I just assumed it picked one umber randomly that a player character had selected not a completely random number altogether.

I couldn't believe it when 1337 won on Balmung recently. A lot of people won that day.
