Gear/item wishlist suggestion

I've been thinking that ffxiv could really benefit from a monster hunter type wishlist for items and equipment.

In MHW, you have a wishlist that keeps track of all of the items you need to craft a piece of gear that automatically crosses itself off and notifies you as you obtain them.

Maybe in a system for ffxiv, not only could it keep track of items for crafting, but also for gear you'd like to get from tomestone vendors and whatnot. It would make keeping track of what gear you need for your many classes much much easier.

Just right click on a piece of gear at the merchant and click 'add to wishlist'. Now that piece of gear is on your wishlist and kept track of so you can always know what you need, and once you obtain the armor or weapon, it automatically deletes itself.

My wish list would be removal of looted gear in game, and make it all crafted system with decay on and Materials super easy to get, the loot would be glamours, that the crafter need to be able to craft this or that item, in this or that desired way.

Your power and all would follow a set system based on your level and story progression, so when you complete this your ilevel will increase to x whatever thing.

No Relying on Crafters and their asinine prices is the surest way to ruin any form of enjoyment for a majority of the players.

That said.... I'd be happy if they would stop hiding the gorgeous glams behind unenjoyable content like Eureka or Bozja most people that are even doing it don't even like doing it but feel they must for a shiny weapon. Or at least make it bloody soloable after the next expansion comes out.

Let's not? FFXIV botched the crafting system making it so easy as to make it all practically cheap as free. You'll get want you want with no effort and get bored immediately.

So...your wishlist is to completely change the character progression system and also entirely remove the choice players have in how they manage their stats, which in turn would have a very noticeable impact on combat as well as the crafting system.

Kind of sounds like...you want a different game?

That's not easy to achieve given your idea of gorgeous isn't the same as everyone's. I personally am not a big fan of the aesthetics from that content. But I agree it would be nice if SE made the content soloable when the next expansion comes so that the gear never becomes out of reach.
