Fix Summoner Once and For All in 6.0 Please!

This is getting beyond ridiculous that Summoner has been in the game for as long as it has and we still have the exact same three piece of crud "summons" if you want to even call them that! Summoner needs a complete rework in 6.0 and it needs to be made more like it was in Final Fantasy XI where the summons themselves did most of the work and damage and the Summoner did their job by controlling them, and with our summons being the same size as the Avatars were in XI and actually looking like summons, not little pieces of floating Crystals following us around doing nothing! There is nothing visually about Summoner whatsoever that makes it look the least bit as powerful as it is supposed to be in the lore and that is pathetically sad! Quit being lazy on this issue Square-Enix and give us the ultimate Summoner job that we deserve like it was in XI...!

Agree. Gameplay-wise it´s ok, but not a summoner.

I agree that Summoner needs (further) fixing for 6.0.
Just NOT the way you want it to.

Personally, I think the only things it needs are proper Egi glamours (through a dedicated UI window) and improved pet AI.

2. Trances/Demi-Summons exist

Please stop comparing between different games, since each of them have their own rules/interpretations on how their elements work (jobs included).
Hell, next you're gonna tell us that Scholar and Sage shouldn't be healers (and in the former's case, not use Faeries) at all...

You're not gonna garner much sympathy (nor support) by accusing/insulting them like that.
Especially with them currently working on the next patch and expansion (in the middle of a pandemic, no less).

I understand your frustration on them not addressing Summoner's issues (in my case, about the lack of new Egis).
But accusing them of laziness is not the way to go about it.

My take on a lot of proposed smn changes.

Summoner is very clunky and all over the place atm. I say give us the Demi-primal rotation much like bard songs and fix the pets if they are staying with us. Nothing worst than casting egi assault only for pets to not use it and even ghost us at times.

People who aren't native healers nor play it often asked them to "fix" Scholar and healers.

Look at what we got.

Yeah. Please don't 'fix' it. lol

...but it's also an incredibly clunky job. The rotation is horrible and the egis are a bad joke. :( I miss tank Titan-chibi.

I too miss the days when Titan was a pseudo-tank! I used him for all my solo stuff. Even successfully tanked a dungeon or two with him when a tank would quit or what not. Now I almost never use him :(
