PUPPETMASTER CONFIRMED

My buddy Alowaith Xiloscient noticed if you turn the seemingly Arabic letters upside down on Yoshis shirt it says “PUP” with a smiley face!!

Except that if you flip it upside down, the last letter does not look like a "p". It's more of a q or a g. That's hardly a "confirmed", as much as I would love the job.

I wouldn't go so far as to say puppet master....

Any job we predict from this is speculative until the next announcement, but I would say this points more to beastmaster. Skeletor and his animal companion Panthor feels more likely than puppet master right now, especially as puppet master was a job they called out as a potential limited job.

Pup = dog = BEASTMASTER CONFIRMED.

Wouldn't be any more obtuse than the Spiderman thing he did heh.

If you're using mentions of potential limited jobs, Beastmaster was also noted as a job they could bring in with the limited job system. (https://kotaku.com/final-fantasy-xiv...vis-1832757804)

PUP actually seems the more likely of the two for a full job as you could just have them summon set mammet configurations. BSTs, on the other hand, seem to kinda have a similar logic to BLU given their whole shtick is charming/capturing/summoning a variety of monsters to use in battle, just limit which beasts you get to pick from already drops a decent amount of class identity and choice.

It seems to me that puppetmaster and beastmaster are ranged DPS rather than melee.

Don't see how that would fit as melee.

Because Puppetmaster in FFXI is melee. Your character uses melee attacks while the "puppet" is customized to fit a separate role.
