Pause Button for Downloads

I played on PS4 and I recently got a PC that I'm attempting to download FF14 on but I honestly don't think it's possible with how massive the game is and how long it take to download. It estimates my download at about 17 hours but currently my internet connection is not consistent enough so anytime it goes out, even for a second, my entire download gets erased and have to start over. Why doesn't FFXIV have the option to just pause downloads? It's kind of ridiculous that I literally can't just pause it. I can't even play other games because I'm worried it's going to slow it down. I really hope SE tries to figure out a way to implement a pause download button or figure out a way not have it lose all of your progress.
