i been playing FF14 for two weeks and I notice a feature lacking and most mmos have this feature a craft bag a separate inventory for crafting materials like iron copper etc.
a separate UI would be required to keep track of what you have in the craft bags
can one be implemented? And another suggestion for the crafting bag inventory any craft items in the normal inventory automatically gets moved to the craft bags opening up space for items potions and the like.

Their stance is and always has been that instead of adding inventory space for specific things, they will instead general inventory space anyone could use for anything.
It's why they added the Chocobo saddlebag.
And also why they've flat out said they'll never add a tackle box for fishers
And honestly, I think that's a good move. -

They wouldn't get ppl to spend money on extra retainers each month if they implemented a craft bag which is likely the #1 reason they refuse to do so. But as a crafter is most games, oh how I yearn for a crafting bag. If nothing else just so I don't have to pull up 4 retainers and search through their inventory to pull certain items out to make one thing. A crafting bag is a HUGE qol adjustment they could make.

GW2's bank had a maximum limit to the number of a single item that could be stored, which made gathering a pain. You also had to be in a specific place to actually craft.Quote:

That would be nice. Take for instance PSO2. They a material storage and it helps out a lot. example , kill an enemy in a dungeon or something an that material would go straight into the storage. Need to craft and you done want to pull it out, that helps with that.

02-06-2021, 10:18 AMMicahZerrshiaIf they allow us 8-9 retainers at 175 slots a piece that can hold stacks of 999 to 9999 in each slot, plus our inventory, plus our chocobo bag, plus the glamour storage, plus the armoire, plus our armory, I think they could likely implement quite a healthy crafting bag. Esp if it can only be accessed from certain areas like retainers inventories and glamour dressers, which is a sacrifice I think plenty of crafters would be willing to make. I mean if you absolutely need to craft in the field there is no reason it the items couldn't be kept in your inventory anyway, just as they are now.Quote:
