More forums

As an experienced forum-goer, I've noticed the official forums lack an OT board,which are generally good to give a proper outlet for debating whether the JETS or the YANKEES are the more evil NY team or to chitchat about random junk.

Likewise a forum for fan art/writing/maybe RPing if people still do that is never a bad thing.


BTW, it is just me or do the forums need a few more mods as well?

More appropriate forums were added this morning I just realized! Looks to be a great improvement.

This is a FFXIV forum for discussion in relation to FFXIV. I would think keeping it less cluttered with off-topic threads would keep the forum more relevant to it's purpose.

If people wish to talk about things on other topics not relating to FFXIV then there's millions of other forums out there to do it on, and likely forums more specific to the topic. Also bear in mind that almost every linkshell has their own forum on which you can discuss other topics of conversation. I, for one, would not come to a FFXIV forum to discuss things not relating to FFXIV.

I would much rather not see an off-topic forum. We don't need to give SE staff more work (read more to moderate) just so we can talk about any old rubbish.

Now that we have more forums that cover most topics, I wish they would remove the General Discussion forum so that people stop dumping everything in there by default.

I would appreciate an off-topic forum for general chit chat not relating to anything as serious as jumping etc.
