moving gil from 1 account to another

I decided a while ago on switching my main characters ( this is not it ). I need to move a sizable amount of gil from 1 character to another. I don't want my characters to be locked out or worse. Is there anything I should know about ahead of time if I plan to do this? Both accounts are very active, all 50's 7/7 ifrit etc its not like this is from lvl 1 mules.

You should be fine, its not like SE would suspect you of being an RTM, they are running rampant at cedarwood as it is and nothing is being done about it.

Gath's one moved gil is worth more than your one moved gil.

But seriously, there shouldn't be a problem. When you say one account to another, do you mean from one character to another character on the same account, or literally to a totally separate account?

Its unlikely SE will do anything, but it could look suspicious, if they chose to do anything thier investigations would show its a one time only transfer, and both accounts are in the same name, address etc so nothing would come of it, even if they chose to investigate you.

Good point I forget they are both used on the same computer and by the same Account Holder.

i know myself and another friend of mine went through investigation and was contacted by gm's because we transfer gil for each other all the time. both my alt and his alt will pass the gil to the other person's main and we'll hand it back over once they sign in. i've been asked a few times because they are usually very large transactions(like 50+mil at a time) and all i've done is tell them who's account it came from and their alts name and the main characters name and that's the extent of the conversations.

as far as you having anything to worry about i wouldn't see any scenario in which they would have anything negative or even look into a single transaction from one character to another character in which you own both.

My wife had to start a new character because of a dispute over her old ffxi account with her ex. We had to transfer massive amounts of gil, items etc and that was between different addresses, names, etc. I doubt seriously if you will even be a flag.
