Frequent Packet Loss
I have been having frequent packet loss as of late that has been making the game thoroughly unenjoyable. What's bothering me is that it was working fine until I moved it to a newer drive. When it started acting up I decided to uninstall and reinstall on the previous drive and it did not want to install. I was finally able to reinstall by changing DNS from Googles DNS to Level 3's and going to my FFXIV folder to uncheck the read only box. Now experiencing packet loss and as my ISP told me it is not on their end I tried disabling upnp to try forwarding ports, resetting modem/router(even bought a new set), flushing, fresh install of both windows and FFXIV, QoS, adjusting in game graphic settings, VPN, large send offload, different DNS servers, different ethernet cables and that whole internet explorer settings fix. I feel dumb and unsure of what to do next. Please help..
Specs are:
CPU: Core i7 8700K
GPU: GTX 1080
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 1TB
Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 op (optane)
PSU: Corsair RM1000x
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8gb @3200mhz
Modem: Arris SB6190
Router: Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (wired)

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game
-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Start playing again 3 weeks ago. Never had any problems before but now I get alot of disconnects due packet loss on the server/datacenter side. (proofs with ping/tracert)
They just don't want to acknowledge the problem. Been in contact with support for the past 2 weeks.
They don't even read half of your message and give a copy/paste answer.
Always the same so called (nonsense) fixes.
Told them already twice that I have the same problem on my ps4. Now they want me to start-up win 10 in selective mode :confused::confused:

I am also having the same issues on PS4 and I just resubscribed and bought ShB update. Starting to regret decision! May ask for refund on both if this continues without resolution. Have not gotten useful responses from SE as of yet either.

Just for SE to really see what's going on, I have added an image of my latest pingplotter information. NTT America is, more often than not, having real trouble with keeping quality internet service for the servers that SE is using to provide an enjoyable and quality game. I am getting huge amounts of packet loss and I'm on fiber internet. You will notice that the jump from xe-0-1-0-1-1.r00.scrmca02.us.ce.gin.ntt.net to 204.2.229.234, which is SE's primary server database, has a gigantic amount of packet loss which has caused major grief for myself and many others who are actively playing the game as we will crash multiple times or lag in the middle of content to the point where nothing is happening on our end but the server is seeing everything happen in real time. This makes it especially hard for those of us who are trying to clear and re-clear savage or ultimate content. Now this issue doesn't happen all the time. I still have days where I have no issue with lag or packet loss, however, I do see it happen more often than not.
