"Physick" healing is bugged.

Class/Level: Summoner, 80


I want to report that the healing spell of Summoners is broken and doesn't scale correctly.
Maybe it scales with Willpower instead of Intelligence rendering it useless.

Comparing it to Red Mage, Physick should heal around 16800 at level 80 with the same gear as Red Mage.

Or what is the intend to have a healing spell heal for 800 when i have 100.000 HP at level 80.

its just for Arcanist low levels not sure why they haven't deleted it off them yet

It is not broken.
It's not a glitch or a bug.
It is because physick scales off Mind where RDMs heal scales off intelligence.

Its mainly a tool for SCH, who gets a lot of mind (though being squishy casters, archanists also benefit from the added survivability it brings at low levels, kinda like how there are low level BLM shields).

RDM doesn't get a lot of mind, it gets Intelligence, so its heals scale off that stat instead.

Until there are no more low level archanists or new players, and until they stop SMN from level synching down, it will still be able to fulfill its function so theres no need to delete it.

If it is not a bug they should adjust the tooltip to a potency of 20 instead of 400 , to make it correct.

Since Physick is now two seperate spells for SMN and SCH there is no reason it can't be adjusted to scale off intelligence.

It wouldn't be correct in that case, it does in fact have a potency of 400, its just your mind stat is so low that the heal comes out low. Potency doesnt work the way you think it does, read more here: https://www.akhmorning.com/allagan-s...l-damage-taken

Arcanist turns into both Scholar (a healer) and Summoner (a DPS).

Scholar uses gear with Mind on it, and physick scales off Mind, so their physick is useful at level 80 (well, not saying I use it much at level 80).

Summoner uses gear with Intelligence on it, and since physick scales off Mind, it does nothing at level 80 because you have almost no Mind.

People who have played the game for a long time are well aware of this and so are the developers, yet they've kept it this way. It is strange so maybe they will do something about it at some point.

The reason a 400 potency heal can do less than 400 healing is because the maths works something like this:

Mind ÷ Divisor x 400
e.g. 289 ÷ 3333 x 400

which results in almost nothing. It's more involved than that and includes weapon damage, substats and trait healing boosts but that's why.
