Hello!
Isn't Latin America a big place for gaming? I would suggest Chinese and Spanish as languages translated for FFXIV. I let the translators and the board of financial directors, alongside the statisticians, decide for us. This is a mere suggestion from a passionate player who doesn't know anything about business in general and the mmo business even less.

Right. The Chinese language version is actually run by a third-party company licensed by Square Enix however, and it's servers are completely independent of the 'normal' version available in the rest of the world (the same goes for South Korea which has their own version with their own independent servers as well). This is due to internet accessibility laws in those countries.
Either way, there is already a Chinese language version of the game.
As far as a Spanish language version, I'm pretty certain SE has already stated they have no plans for Spanish language support alas, but I have no citation for that. -

you'll have to find a quote for it from somewhere, but I believe the main reason that there is no Spanish language option is because they were not able to find anyone that would be able to keep up with the constant amount of updating needed for the game in the manner that they would find acceptable.

With korean cafes, it's like you pay by the hour, but that doesn't work with the standard monthly subscription that XIV has on it's normal servers. So the Korean servers fit that format for payment.Quote:
