Attempt to backup settings "succeeds" but says I am backing up No Data.

Hello!

I'm trying to use FFXIV's server backup feature for both my client settings and character settings as described in this post -- https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/blog/002552.html .

While I can proceed through the user interface fine and it claims to have succeeded, I don't seem to be able to restore settings from this interface, and I strongly suspect it's because it claims I have a backup, but that the backup has No Data. See these screenshots (which the forum doesn't seem to be allowing me to post directly; the bitly links are to the best, fastest way I could represent the screenshots.

I should also note that I'm attempting to perform this backup on a Mac. I'm wondering if FFXIV for Mac, which is mostly FFXIV for Windows in a WINE wrapper, doesn't actually know how to navigate to the client and character settings correctly?
