Even if they "sold" it to you, you won't be able to buy it until it actually goes on the market, which is random. The timer is invisible and can last anywhere from 2 hour to 24+ hours. (You'd still have to pay for the plot and for constructing the house on it too)
(Unless you already own a house and just want to transfer to a new one, then you can do that instantaneously)
