So normally every single time I start typing a post here I easily go passed the character limit which exist for some reason. What I wanted to say to the FF14 devs is thank you because this is the first expansion in my life where I have not given Blizzard yet another chance.
I swear to god these forums are like night and day. FF14 players are described by other MMO players as people on happy pills. The casual players are not at the throats of hardcore players as there are quicker gearing paths through raids and casual players feel rewarded for all the types of content they do.
My god 16 years and Blizzard is still trying to figure out how to do gear and how to obtain that gear. FF14 devs figured it out 7+ years ago and realized that you do not need to reinvent the damn wheel every expansion.
You know one thing that was SO NICE!!! New patch came out and no class got gutted and one even got completely revamped.
The stuff people complain about here is so minimal and fixable it is amazing. People in FF14 are not posting about core fundamental issues that are utterly broken with the MMO that completely time gates progress.
The MMO is not perfect but holy crap am I happy this one exist and does not treat the player base with contempt.

That's another thing SE does well. They don't let the gear gap get too wide. That's a problem in other MMOs where some let it get as wide as the Grand Canyon. -

When I first tentatively picked up 14 I was expecting that harder than ever in a game that constantly updates itself and I'm surprised more of that didn't make it's way into 14. And I'm glad it hasn't. I much prefer the stability. -
