Let's talk about it...
Let's talk about RMT, the botters and the marketboard shall we?
What exactly is going on here? Second day of patch and Cactuar's MB crashed. Again, I find the third party users abusing. I know all their names and everything and see the Free Companies they run and they aren't even legitimate. How can SE overlook this? Some people tell me that SE is in cahoots with the botters/RMTers. Thoughts? Opinions?
This post is not to offend SE team or GM's but I need to understand. I've been playing this game 7 years and I've not seen anything this bad. Although, I'm relatively new to Cactuar.

People buy gil for whatever reason it seems. If people didn't buy gil the bots and rmt spam bots would not be here.
It is unfortunate but it apparently is profitable enough for some one to continue disrupting the rest of the game's population so they can buy more crap. Top it off with rampant credit card and account theft and you got a real problem that wouldn't even be there if people just quit buying the gil.
I don't understand it.. just casually playing and doing treasure maps sometimes 1 time a week or less and selling ingredients or crafted items I made enough gil to get multiple houses/upgrade to mediums and still got plenty of gil and never once have I considered rmt as an option. I don't merc runs or anything like that. Gil is just about as meaningless as I've ever seen currency be in this game. Gear is literally thrown into your hands all through the msq. I can understand if you are trying to get a house in the current climate and you're having difficulty accumulating that upfront cost but don't need to to rmt to get that lump. Stop buying glams and going to rp events and giving huge tips etc.
So to answer your question, potato.
