Thank You - ありがとうございました

To Yoshi-P and all the FFXIV community and devs,

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone especially in light of all the recent events surrounding Covid-19 this year. It has been a difficult and trying time for everyone. That being said the main reason I am writing this post is to express my admiration and gratitude for the love and support of everyone around me during the passing of my father this Friday past.

If it wasn't for this wonderful game, and the community here I know I would be in a much darker place so from me I just wanted to say thank you and I know that from here the only way is forward.

Unfortunately my mind is so confused right now and I don't think I am really able to appropriately express my feelings at this time but I do know that whenever things have been difficult in life and overly challenging, I have always been able to fall back onto the FFXIV story and be inspired and given strength to push on.

P.S I do hope someone can pass this on to Yoshi-P, unfortunately my Japanese is severely limited and mostly consisting of a few characters here and there....

Sadly I feel the internet and the world today is all just too negative, it is so much easier to smile and be nice and say thank you than it is to blame others and point fingers.

I’ve always seen it as people being negative is actually just proof that the game means something to them. I mean, if you really dislike or don’t care about something, you wouldn’t really put a lot of thought into it, would you? Especially when it comes to feedback for improving the game.

I think the fact that there are so many threads about so many different complaints and issues just shows that they really care about it. In a way, every complaint thread is actually a ‘thank you for this game’ thread (thought admittedly a bit of a back-handed thank you lol)

People wouldn't complain if they didn't care. Every complaint comes from a desire for things to be better.

I disagree. Some people, namely the trolls in this forum and others, complain to get a reaction. they are not trying to improve anything and only desire to make themselves feel better by creating dissension and conflict. And that, is all too prevalent on the internet already.

For the most part it's the same people who complain about just about everything here. I agree and am happy to see an actual appreciation thread. i play this game way too much and although it's not perfect it sure is pretty damn special for me at least

Nothing more to add to this. I am glad i found my MMO-home since 2015 here in eorzea and didnt regret a single second.
Thank you Yoshi-P and the entire dev team in this difficult time.

Mental health matters and ffxiv does a very good job helping to maintain it. At least for me. So thank you!

I also appreciate the efforts of the creators, top to bottom, for this game. I've been playing these things since Zelda, and to date no other creation comes close, at least in terms of crafting. Since I'm not much of a fighter; more like a supply sergeant, I'll leave the combat appraisals to others = but the crafting is fabulous, and it is the whole reason I remain here and will remain here. Well done, sirs, and thankyou!
