They are making changes to lesser used actions.
Really at his point, it should just be, Do you want HQ or NQ and Master recipes.
Anything 80 and blow. is mindless.
80 2 and 3 stars and master take a few thoughts. beyond that, there are macros to HQ every item 100% of the time. There is no challenge in that.
"Lesser used" actions will be adjusted and a new condition is being added to expert recipes. No idea what a new condition might be, but my guess on the most likely actions to be adjusted are the name and brand of elements, which are basically useless right now. Waste Not I is also pretty garbage for its CP cost. Every other action I use extensively between regular crafting and expert recipes.
I think this new condition might be meant to further discourage macros in expert crafts, So I'm expecting something that nulls the action taken on that step, no progress or quality could be gained under it. If this is true than previous macros would be tripped up for it and Observe and the actions that procs would be made (even) more useful
Alternatively something that makes the craft more "fragile" resulting in higher durability loss from that step.Which would also trip up macros because the lost durability may prematurely break the craft
They won't say anything until the patch notes are released. They don't want anyone getting a headstart in updating bot programming or crafters planning new macros.
The new Expert condition is probably to offset increased difficulty to Expert despite the lack of new gear to use.
I am not sure what the issue is. You have two sets of recipes for eight different classes, plus master recipes. You can also just standard meld instead of penta if you want additional difficulty, or basically meld just enough to meet the minimum requirement.
Reducing the steps required to HQ recipes more than 10 levels lower than your current level was a huge QoL change. There really isn't much reason for these recipes to be multiple step as your level and ilv are far beyond the requirements. IOW, you have already had your time with those recipes being multiple step when your level and ilv was closer to them.
I wouldn't doubt if they implement a new skill that does increase both progress bars to max for lower level recipes at some point. I really wouldn't stress on that though.
