Not that it matters either way, but girls holding hands does not necessarily imply there is sexual attraction. Maybe if they were guys, as I don't think I've ever seen male friends holding hands, but it may depend on the culture as well.

It's going to be one of those things open to player interpretation. I personally don't consider holding hands to be confirmation of anything, yet that's just me.

Yes, yes, maybe not "officially" confirmed but for those of us who would love some kind of more overt representation other than the tokens served so far, that art depicts blossoming love. It's a hint and people will explain it differently, based on their own internal mental states and beliefs. So I choose to believe it's romance between those two. And loving it. :D

Since this game is also published in China I can already tell that in case their romance is a thing we are not going to get any reference that can't be easily edited out.

Seems like a Vanille x Fang reference to me at this point, given the hair colors and stuff. Probably lesbians. Pretty cute honestly. I just wonder how much Lahabrea being in one of Gaia's mirrors has to do with it or how it might impact it.
