Like sleep becoming slowed after sleep wears off or bind becoming heavy. This could also be a way to effect and balance pvp. Stun and silence don't really need one but if anyone wants to throw ideas around, go for it. Or is it impossible with the spaghetti code used from 1.0? Doubt anything will come of this in-game but what does the community think? What about the blind effect? Old relic of the past? Maybe an idea for blue mage spells later on.

How is this a troll thread? This is actually an interesting potential question, although I admit probably not very useful overall with how seldom used status effects are.
I do like the idea of Sleep into slow, though, but only if it'd also trigger the slow on sleep immune enemies. It'd give healers a (admittedly tiny) amount of ways to protect the tank, and make Repose not a mostly useless role skill.
Considering how some of the raid mechanics work...yes, I believe it'd be possible to create such a thing.
I suspect that would be possible on a technical level. Might not be the best idea on a balance level as far as PVP goes, but for PvE I'm sure they could come up with something like that.
