Suggestion: Non-Main City Housing

Hello,

This is my first post on the forums and I am relatively new to the game as well (~2 mo) so I accept that I might not know a lot that has gone, been said and done.

That being said, given that there is a massive shortage of plots, I wanted to suggest if devs at SE can think about housing in zones that are not main cities. (e.g. For Thanalan, allow players to build houses in Western, Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern Thanalan)

Personally I like some places outside the main cities as well and I wouldn't mind if I could have a house there instead.

Sorry if this is also something that has been suggested.

Regardless, if someone can point me to a post where SE has stated a technical or business (or even ethical !) reason why its not good to add more plots (especially now that FFXIV has taken over WoW in player count) or just make housing instanced, kindly point me to it.

Since you've just started, you're in for a real treat. Rather than just the different zones of Thanalan for example, there are entire areas that are just amazingly gorgeous that have SO MUCH great potential for housing.

I'm not going to ruin anything for you, but when you see them, you'll know -- and you'll be like "that would be a gorgeous place to have a house"

Places like:
- Sharlayan
- Sky Pirate areas
- Rak-tika Greatwood
- The azim steppe
to name a few.

I just reached the Azim Steppe and couldnt agree more.

Is waiting for someone from SE to respond to a post a futile effort ? Or do they have a good/strong community presence ?
