Defense

Is there any chance in the future that defense or defense materia might get a boost as well?

I made a quad meld +61 defense on an HQ cuirass, doesn't do a thing against bosses :(

First they should make it so Defense actually matters against bosses.

Reindeer suits anyone?

As shown in the research by Kaeko and co., due to the inflated level of bosses and the large effect that the difference in level has (dLvl), defense on bosses isn't terribly useful.

Your +61 defense will help a fair amount on everything else, however.

It's actually due to the inflated Attack stat, not the high dLevel, that does this for Defense. dLvl does heavily neuter a bunch of other stats, though.

Technically they both affect it, but yes I suppose the truly inflated stat is actually his attack.
