Is Rowena financially dominating Gerolt?

I don't think a normal human would be OK with this. Does Gerolt secretly enjoy being in debt to Rowena and basically living a life of servitude to her? Or is it a relationship that has gone far too toxic?

Gerolt's debt is fueled by his alcoholism. Rowena being the cut throat wench she is, takes advantage of this. While we could say, "Bad Rowena. Bad!" Gerolt only has himself and the head in his pants to hold accountable.

I get the feeling Gerolt is into being her slave.
