It's not like I already have a BIS set list from when my other Caster jobs were 70 or anything.

It doesn't, it just means they'll get new Job specific attire.

But considering BLU can do alliance raids and savages as part of their "Blue Log", I would assume it's not completely impossible to see Ultimates being included into this at some point, though I wouldn't hold high hopes for that.

Okay, so the level 70 items, are called "artifacts" ... and arn't those the ones that are empowered by eurika? So... then is this a sign they might get eurika items?

I'm honestly not sure how BLU will even finish the savage Omega raids unless mechanics start targeting based on aetherial mimicry because there's a lot of things that Diamondback will not save you from, but can't realistically be executed properly if you don't know who's getting what in advance.

You're confusing AF gear (artefact) which are usually the lvl X0 iconic job gear (starting from 50) with relic weapons (set of X0 weapons that you can build over time)
