First Dibs for Aspiring Homeowners

To put it politely, with the way that the housing plots went on the servers, I can say that it could have gone better. That being said, lots of people whom have never had the chance to buy a house are stiffed once again by the vultures that plague the servers. Free Companies sometimes at the extreme get a house for each of their members, thus taking up a whole Ward be it the regular or the subdivision, House Flippers and Bots grab them before anyone can get into the wards to log in and sell it for triple the price if not quadruple the price and as well as people whom own multiple houses, especially those who own three 1st Class Large Plots. Well, the aspiring house seekers have been disappointed and angered again and again, ward after ward opens, it all gets plucked away by the first come, first serve.

Now, I have a solution that may fix the problem, if not but at least slightly, so that we people whom have been going after a house for either a short minute or a long while, can have a turn at owning a house. I would propose that Square Enix implements a system for the next set of Wards where it is "First Come, First Serve" for the accounts who [B]do not own a house on their account at all.[B] Those whom have been wanting a house have a stronger chance then to be able to have the ability and the privilege in buying a house. This would be good for both Free Companies who have been wanting to buy a plot or a private estate where new Role Play potential and creativity can be created.

To put it not so politely, if you would have spent 10 minutes to look through the other threads in the housing section you would have seen all the regurgitated suggestions you have here have been covered, proven false, or marked as misleading. You probably would have been among the many happy first time house buyers this time around if you were capable of doing that before posting.

I don't see how "free companies getting a house for each of their members" is a bad thing in itself, assuming that they are all genuine players who made their way to the location as a group and tried to get houses close to each other. There's nothing that would actually stop someone else from going to the same place and buying one of those houses before the group arrives.

That said, while I do like the concept of prioritising first home buyers over relocators, in practice it would just leave the market even more susceptible to a horde of newly-created bots swooping in on everything.

I didn't say it was perfect, but just simply a suggestion. There just needs to be something better and I was hoping SE would see this but now I just feel silly and kinda hope this just gets swept under the rug so they don't see it.

It never hurts to express your opinion about what's wrong with a system and things that you think might help improve it. If nothing else, it's one more voice saying that there are enough problems with the system that something needs to be done to make housing a better experience for all players.

But it does help to do a forum search for existing threads on the same topic and add your voice by posting a reply in the related thread instead of making a new one. It allows for better discussion of the topic and makes it easier for the community team to collect feedback to forward to the developers.
