Retainer "Transfer" Between Characters & Naming Parameters

This may sound like a weird topic, but I'm hoping to essentially move one of my retainers to another character on the same server.

Why? Well, it's a roleplay thing but, in short, my various retainers and characters are named after one another. I decided one of them would like to start moonlighting as a Retainer, so I'm after a persistent version of them on my FC estate.

Clearly there's no method of transfer and I'll have to do some renaming and re-glamouring.


Question is, if I rename one retainer, can I be 100% certain that their original name will be available for the retainer on the other character? (Assuming nobody uses it before me)


I've had issues with player character naming before so I'm extra cautious and I'd like to get it right first time.
