Cannot keep typing in chat after crafting is complete

Class/Level: Any crafter class at any level
Party or solo: Happens on either case
Controller: Xbox 360 (PC), Playstation 4 (PC Using DS4)

How it happens:
If you are crafting while chatting in the chat to your party, FC, etc... You cannot continue typing in the chat box if you are using a gamepad with keyboard and mouse. You have to close the crafting log list first then return to crafting. Using a crafting macro will always cause this to occur.

What happens if you use keyboard only:
The effect is slightly different, the text that is typed will appear somewhere in the middle of what you were writing. However unlike the controller, you can reposition the text pointer and continue typing where as if you are using a controller, the textbox is completely disabled.

I hope this makes sense.

It does make sence, its always been like that, using PC and xbox 360 controller as well.
