I've had my FF XIV since release and after watching a lets play on youtube decided it was worth installing. Now I'm wondering what levels the first dungeon? and where would i find it (It's a final fantasy game so im just automatically assuming theres dungeons) please help me xD
The first dungeon is level 25 (The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak), you'll need at least one other person to enter (up to a maximum party of four people total), and you must be a recruit in a Grand Company in order to access it (I think?).
I'm not sure why you equate FF with dungeons though. There's only... 4 of them in the game right now, and aside from Toto-Rak, they're all level 45+.
Well, there is also the L15-20 dungeon Spo... spho.... shopo... whatever. But it's not instanced and it's in La Noscea between Camp Bearded Rock and Cedarwood.
There's also the non-instanced dungeon outside Limsa Lominsa - Shopshae. Meant for parties around level 15, the mobs are level 17-20 iirc. Some NMs are in there as well.
It is Shposhae.
Sposhae, located due east of Limsa lominsa's gate. It's marked on the map, but you'll have to poke around to find the entrance.
Where is Shopshae? I'm still not sure.

No one ever does Dungeons at lower levels. Best idea for you is to join friends/Social LS and attempt to convince them into Dungeoning with you. Most lower leveld people just (1) Don't know about it, (2) Focus on XP, (3) Don't have the requirements for it(Number/Lvl/Rank). Join Sargantas... ;-)
