It's not on a timer, though? It just accumulates while you're in a sanctuary.
It's not something that you get a chunk of at a designated time of day, which is what the Timers menu tracks.
This is pointlessly literal and also ignores the fact that fc crafts, which have no time-dependence whatsoever, are displayed in timers. The amount of time required to reach the rested XP cap while in a sanctuary is a finite, calculable amount and could be displayed. Timers is the most sensible place to put it, though sure, I don't really care where they stick it as long as they add it.
As they said, it only accumulated while in a sanctuary. It’s not a timer that will count down from 48 hours (not to mention gaining any exp would have to readjust the timer). Airships, subs, beast tribes, company crafts (the grade 3 buff wheels) all get a timer because they all have set times.
A timer for rested EXP would need to take into account being in a sanctuary, being able to pause while outside of a sanctuary, and be able to recalculate on the fly should you gain exp before it’s been capped. If they were able to successfully do this then imo they should look into adding a gardening timer into the timers menu.
You're not wrong, that timer would be useful as well. Maybe a timer that you can tell to add crop plot to timer option. I was thinking in the mindset, probably as op, if you are just sitting in town building up rested exp if could give you an indication as to how long till it was full. Maybe have a button to press to calculate that in the timer menu, not so much as making a constant ping check for if you are resting?
