Option to flip party list fill direction, and maybe other things.

One thing that has been minor but still enough of an inconvenience to cause some UI setup ideas to fall apart, has been the party list's behavior of filling from top to bottom, without an option to make it go from bottom upward as an option.

I was a huge PSO2 player at one point where I was used to seeing my and my party's data on lower half of the screen but placement of the party list is always awkward if you try to put it towards bottom of the screen rather than top or floating in the side. Since the player has to place the list in manner where full 8 party members of space needs to be though of while placing the party list on your screen, even though most of your normal game play you have usually only 4.

Right now my UI setup is put to top corner just because the party list's forevermore lack of option to make it fill from bottom to top and there really is no reason for it, or I would hope it would not, even if PS3 was still a consideration which is no more is.

... I cannot mage up more fancy words for very basic idea/request though. I think generally it would be nice to have the option, and party sorting could also have option of top to bottom/bottom to top as well - say you want an option to have party list fill bottom up, but order classes top to bottom in your preferred sequence, or bottom up in your preferred sequence, which, already is to certain extent possible.

One additional idea I thought about was also alliance lists and thinking A micro party list based on the alliance list could also be an option if some players feel it would be nicer for tanking/DPS'ing or maybe even healing, though it would definitely loose data nor am I "the" idea guy to do more than suggest it, but I do take full use of even the alliance lists the best I can.

TL;DR:
Party list (and party list sorting) could have option for bottom up or up to bottom fill settings.

That's a cool idea!

Talking about orientations in general, could be a neat thing to have on other UI widgets. For example, I wish I could have MP underneath HP rather than beside it. That kind of thing, like how hotbars can be re-oriented.

That's not what they mean. They want the option to have the party list be aligned to the bottom of the ui element and fill up by adding new members to the top of the list instead of the bottom. I.e. either party member #1 at the bottom of the list and party member #8 at the top, or just have it so party member #1 starts at the bottom and then when party member #2 shows up it moves up one space and party member #2 is now at the bottom, etc. The reason they gave was to eliminate 'whitespace' if you happen to have the party list near the bottom of your screen.

I would add the enemy list to that suggestion as well.

Yeah! I did not think of enemy list at all as it is mostly unused list to me (healer main) but I agree that too could have the same option.

What I talked about was that in case people still like their lists as they are, the fill and sorting can be opposite of each other, in case you want tanks in top but fill from bottom upwards.

Thanks for your example, the "none space" you have to have with the party list can be... somewhat silly and makes some compact or element next to one setups awkward to do if you prefer something to be under the party list.
For example, I would have loved to have this as a cleaner version, in bottom corner rather than upper corner but I have no (clean) choices for that.

As what I meant about the sorting option being added; to make the option still better; you could maybe have sorting option be like this (using default Tank Healer DPS)

Options: List order bottom up, list ordering also Bottom up, then Bottom up list, up to down sorting, as an option would look like:

This is, so if people like this option, but also like the way they used to seeing members in the list, then the fill flip as said - the "player 1 2 3 4" logic is actually bit better demonstration to this. It is actually what FF XI party list does.

Add a horizontal flip to that too.
I have my party list in the lower right corner.
A bottom-up list would suit me perfectly, but also having party members buffs/debuffs on the left side, aligned to the right, would prevent them getting cut off at the edge of my screen.

This. Is literally. The one thing i have been asking for. Since i realised that 1.0 had the bottom-right party menu. It would be the best way to do ANYTHING as healer. I NEED THIS.
